Jacob Amiimiaqiuk Pilakapsi was born 1910s or 1920s. His mother remains unidentified although it was not Taututtiaq. It may have been Qaataniq.

He lived in Hall Beach. He married Ujaralaaq, and they had ten children together.

In Nancy Wachowich's book Saqiyuq: Stores from the Lives of Three Inuit Women, in the passage by Apphia Agalakti Awa, in a passage relating a long journey in the 1940s from Arctic Bay to Igloolik, Awa makes references to "my brother-in-law Qayaarjuaq, his wife Ipiksaut" and adds"Qaataniq and Pilakapsik were there, and so were Amiimiarjuk and his wife and his children, Taapittiaq, Joanna, and Auqsaaq." The passage also indicates that Pilakapsik was the father of Amiimiarjuk.
